The Rigga Band was formed in Dubai in 2019, brought together by musicians passionate about creating original music that stands apart from the cover-dominated local scene. With influences rooted in both European and African sounds, the band has crafted a unique fusion that reflects their diverse backgrounds and creative vision. Since then, they’ve been carefully developing their catalog, sharing two tracks on YouTube that introduce their distinct musical style and set the stage for more. Now gearing up for the release of an EP and a full album, The Rigga Band is on a mission to bring a fresh, original sound to Dubai, celebrating creativity and inspiring a new wave of music in the city.

Formed in 2019, the Rigga Band have slowly been building up their unique catalogue of music In preparation for global release in the near future. Which will follow the release of two tracks on Youtube already released, with a forthcoming EP and album shortly, watch out for a refreshing new band sound to hit Dubai as The Rigga Band aim to liberate Dubai from the intellectual drain of tired and worn cover music only.
Our music aims to capture largely life events through a period of time in the Middle East unashamedly drawing on multiple genres for example, pop, rock, jazz and folk genres for influence. The music is born out of real experiences and aims to be as honest a reaction to them, aiming to please not everyone all of the time, yet if you like any of the genres mentioned rest assured there will be something for you. Lastly, the Rigga Band aim to be a world band and deliberately aim harness influences from the world and to speak to people of the world.

Lead singer, guitars and composition
UK Singer, guitar player and composer of Rigga music. Lived in Middle East since 2011. Architect and Design Manager by profession. My father was a singer, I was brought up with music. Passionate about music and creativity in many forms.
Keyboards, mixing and mastering
Award-winning music producer and a recording artist with over 18 years experience working with artists and bands around the globe. I am a multi-instrumentalist, who is also a digital marketing media specialist. I have worked on music projects which encompass the different genres of music. Lucas is the official pianist and co-founder of the rigga band.
Bass
Simon is a professional bass player from cameroon with over five years of experience in bass playing and band management. Simon is currently based in dubai and has worked with couple of bands and studios within the uae and abroad.
Drums and percussion
Christian is a professional drummer from cameroon with over 16 years of experience in drumming. Over the years he has been involved in a couple of bands that touches all genres of music. He was formerly the member of blaze band, before joining the rigga band.
